C863 is a bronze manganese alloy with excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical qualities. C863 is known for its high strength and hardness due to manganese as an alloying agent and high zinc levels. Manganese brass alloys, such as C863 can withstand very high loads and speeds.

C863 is also known as high strength yellow brass, 863, Alloy 863, C863 Bronze, 863 Bronze, CDA86300 bronze, manganese bronze, high tensile manganese bronze, and high tensile bronze.

The material is suitable for many applications, including valve/hydraulic parts, load bearings, and gear castings. Because of its longevity, C863 is also used in architecture.
