C865 Alloy Casting
C865 Alloy
The high-strength yellow brass – copper casting alloy C865 is a casting alloy consisting mainly of copper and zinc. This alloy is primarily used for cast parts requiring strength at elevated temperatures or moderate corrosion resistance.
C865 Alloy Applications
Typical uses for this alloy include machinery parts requiring strength and toughness, lever arms, valve stems, gears, electrical hardware, boat parts, propellers for salt and fresh water, rudders, fasteners, bearings, and structural fittings for gas turbines. The automotive, builder’s hardware, electrical, industrial, and marine industries all use the high-strength yellow brass C865.
C865 Alloy Casting
Ermak’s network of foundries specialize in bronze, aluminum and zinc alloy casting. The metal alloys we use have excellent castability.
ERMAK manufactures high-quality sand castings from a variety of materials, including the C865 alloy. Our cutting-edge non-ferrous foundry can handle jobs ranging from one to thousands of pieces, as well as C865 castings weighing 0.5 ounces to 232 pounds. In addition to alloy casting, we provide a variety of value-added services such as pattern design/production, heat treating, annealing, machining, powder coating, painting, anodizing, and assembling for fully finished parts.
